0612 hrs., Sunday, April 21, 2019. Bob teed off at The Willingdon Golf Club with three friends - two of them were heading large organisations. During the game, one of them asked, "Bob, is there a way I can reduce my software costs? I find it increasing every year, even if my teams and business are consolidating. Every year there is a surprise spend that comes up, which we have not budgeted."
Bob said, "You pay for what you use. The contracts are to be carefully read. The world of contracts is very complex, and terms of usage equally cryptic.
A few friends from the IT fraternity decided to support the common objective - to help our customers to save! Bob finally founded Perspektis after a 6-month staging in October 2019, and the company got incorporated on December 31, 2019. The first customer was the Golfer friend who asked Bob the golden question.
One of the most important things we learnt over decades of experience was that "True Independence" was missing in the industry. While many companies claimed that they were advising customers from an independent view, its only lately that true independent advisory was being offered by entrepreneurs.
We adopted 100% Independence in our Advisory from Day Zero. We consciously took a decision not to represent any vendor, or resell anything. We believe that the independence we practice gives us the opportunity to offer unbiased and non-aligned advise to our customers, to whom we owe much.
